forgetting about being mortal

Saw the Finnish movie Pelikaanimies (Pelicanman). Enjoyed it.

Earlier during the evening, spent some time with Hankku, Iikku and Martti, and helped fix some problems with the Uusi Verso site. Hankku and Iikku made bread and pancakes.

Like usual, I'm very tired. There are way too many lonely entities around me, and in the end, I can't seem to be able to help. It's strange that the cure for even loneliness has to come from inside.

Sleep, perhaps.

Rolling on.

The strange lump or whatever seems to have disappeared from my hand.

I woke up after a way too short a night slept, and as I always have, I still think IRC and such are a form of verbal/"oral" communication rather than of formal, written communication.

Six hours of lectures today (plus two spare ones in between, which I'm hoping to spend sleeping). I'm way too tired, y'know?

Book read: A Guide To Open Content Licences

My flatmate Kalle gave me a tangible version of the booklet, also available for free on the net: A Guide To Open Content Licences. An easy, quick read about the current status of copyright. Recommended. I was supposed to free the booklet but then, I forgot it at Iikku's place.

Minä soin (imp.)

Kuuntelen Baumanin perhettä, en tiedä, mitä odottaa huomiselta. Kohteliaisuuksia, vaiko ikävöintiä vaiko satunnaisia hellyydenosoituksia. En haluaisi puhua tyhjää, mutta en oikein ole kiinnostunut nyt muustakaan. Ostan parhaillani antennijohtoa, sillä sain eilen FM-radion toimimaan linuxissa, se oli iloista. Opiskeluja vain, japaljon. Requirements engineering, logiikkaa (filosofian), englantia, hipit, software engineering ja sellaista kaikkea. Sopivan tanssikurssin etsintä on vielä vaiheessa.

Kirjoitan tätä Gnomen Blog entry poster appletilla, mutta en ole vakuuttunut - tällä ei voi säätää kirjoituksen kategoriaa. Pitänee käyttää vielä BloGTKta lisäksi - samantien voisi kirjoittaa koko jutun sillä. Eikä voi tehdä linkille CSS-class:ia, myöskään, ja tekee väkisin Unicodea vaikken ole Unicodea. Plaahh. Itkuajavalitusta.

Oon muokannu oman GNOMEn teeman, sonkiva. Controls: Dogmastik, Window border: muokattu Milk 2 (apinoi OS X:n Aquaa), Icons: muokattu, vähän buginen Gartoon. Tykkään <3 Ubuntu.

pieces of life

I'm gathering the pieces, see this? It's a valuable part of me, take it, get me. I'm of value, I'm all these activities, I'm proving all this potential, see me, see me! But why? Does God think anything at all about my efforts, he sure listens but does he, really care? He sure cares, cares for me (died though alive) but why can't I ever feel it? Look at me, I'm playing enjoying laughing loving, look at me tell me how you feel. No face, no face I'm seeing nothing! After about one and a half years worth of a break, my studies in the University of Tampere are about to continue tomorrow. It now seems to me that my studies have been largely disorganized so far - I need to study way more of the structure of my degree, need to plan more. Need to be aware about my goals and my interests in every course and every subject covered.
