Dark brown mood

I'm a bit sick - I was already hoping that I wouldn't catch any more germs this year. Winter has finally arrived in Tampere, and I don't especially like it. I would be interested in doing better in school, but I just can't seem to reach... There are a lot of people around me who call themselves my friends, but there seems to be an outage of actual caring (pardon my being cynical, they do care). Everyone is just more of less tired.

Even though there are quite a few congregations (or equivalent) in Tampere, I don't seem to find time nor energy to actually be a part of them. "Maybe it's just not time", I tell myself. Been working for the website of Uusi Verso, a concept to bring different Christian groups in Tampere more together - sadly, I'm not an active part of any of those groups otherwise.

Saw the movie The Message with Hashem today. Still don't quite get Islam, but I'm learning.

Seems that they've slapped my face on the Bible school (where I was 2004-2005) website.

Stop the traffic now now now

The university cafeteria offered metaballs for lunch today. I ate with good appetite, though there seemed to be nothing that polemic about them: They looked like beef to me.

A new period in the University of Tampere is starting. I am studying English, philosophy of science, new interaction techniques (so far mostly gaze based) and some cognitive psychology. I have 797 messages in my Inbox. I probably ought to browse them through. Also, the number of unread entries in my bloglines is (probably) daunting. I'd rather not check.

I've had too many (two) public presentations or the like during the last week. Happily, I've survived. Sadly, my stomach didn't do that well.

On Saturday, Hankku's parents treated us with tickets to Tampere Jazz Happening. I liked Solveig Slettahjell Slow Motion Quintet (Nor) muchly, though the other two artists were a bit too modern for me.

Dreaming more and more about a new UI/layout for this site. But I never do have time, do I.
