avaintakin kätkettiin ja laivaa lastattiin

It is my namesday today, or however you hippies wanna spell it! I got a congratulating (in Finnish) email of which I was happy. To celebrate the occasion, I'll put out a bit of a childish poem, written sometime this spring.

one can dream

another lonely night
at the dis co
There was a girl
sad eyes, slow motion
I was that boy
staring in the corner
watching,
as another boy took his chance
as I never found my place

see, I kept on searching
there was no one to be found

so I return to this
lonely night
at the dis co
looking for a place to stand
   so I would, for once
be standing so tall, so proud

with the One who isn't
well, one can dream
dream

Pääsky eestinmaan

Returned from Kuressaar today, it was a long enough journey. Nothing special about the trip otherwise, but I faced a fear of mine, and I'm proud of that. It seemed nothing big outside, and I'm not sure if the other party realized how much some simple, friendly gestures meant to me. 

The fear has to do with being rejected by surprise, and is sensible in itself I guess. Nevertheless, it makes getting to know new people a bit difficult at times, and now I think I found some natural ways of making contact with whoever without having to risk being too vulnerable.
