I have contributed to the usability of Moodle since 2008: Quiz UI Redesign 2008 (project documentation) was my first Moodle-only usability project. In 2009, I worked on Moodle User Interface Guidelines. In September 2010, I finished my master’s thesis about Moodle and open source usability.
Since 2002, I have been working in several web and software development projects.
Before working in the Moodle community, I did software development and usability engineering of the Electronic Exam System of the University of Tampere or Tenttis. It was a Moodle based project, which began in June 2006 and got finished in autumn 2007. The project consisted of customizing Moodle, in particular the Quiz module, and integrating it with a web application for making reservations. I also usability tested the custom-made parts, in constant cooperation with the technical, administrative and teaching staff in the university.
