The evening of a hot day in July

It was a hot day yesterday in Tampere. Towards the night it started to get a bit colder, as the sun set. We had a spontaneous trash food pique-nique with Heli. On the way to the park we saw two guys in the sunset and I decided to snap some shots. Later, I tried to read the Little Prince in French, which she had given to me. It did not go very smoothly.

Today, we decided to start playing with the photo while Minna was at my place. I got to demonstrate the clumsy powerfulness of the GIMP to her :). Some elements were removed from the photo, it was cropped and I adjusted the levels a bit. I had a temptation to adjust them even further, but I am glad I did not. The guys in the photo do not know about this photo, and I do not know them, but they are not very recognizable, either.

Playing away frustration: a dream of a website layout

It was a bad day (couldn't find energy for most of the pressing, urgent matters I would have needed to deal with).

However, at least something came out of it:  it's the heart of the city (xhtml + png 389 kb). The main point is the general feeling of it. The written content is mainly just filler to suit the feeling. Of course this is just a dabble otherwise, too, but some friends liked it so I thought you might, too :).

Panorama of my flat

My flat. Notice how dark it's outside? It's winter in Tampere.

Hashem took this one with his Sony Ericsson 750i camera phone. My attitude towards that brand is not the one of the most positive ones, but I do have to admit the camera on that phone WAY outperforms the one on my Nokia 6822. The resolution of the original panorama is 1664 x 432 px.
